Try the Egg Drop Challenge!
Get the whole family involved in constructing a contraption to protect an egg from breaking when dropped from a high height. Â The materials are up to you but might include tape, cardboard, cotton, straws, string, paper and of course, eggs. Each person or team gets to create a contraption from the supplied materials. Â Drop the contraptions from the same height and see if the eggs survive. If you have younger children, you might want to try this simpler version.
Measure the strength of an eggshell!
How strong is an eggshell? Â After the egg drop challenge, you may have an opinion! Â Try this eggshell strength experiment to test your hypothesis. Â You may be amazed at how much an egg can hold!
