We invite your family to become a member of the Children’s Science Center Lab in 2026 and be a part of a community of support that is dedicated to bringing a larger, world-class science center to our community. We’re entering an exciting period of celebration and growth as the Northern Virginia Science Center is under construction and projected to open in 2027. To support a smooth transition into this next phase, we are standardizing our membership program by moving from annual memberships (valid for 12 months from the purchase date) to yearly memberships aligned with the calendar year. Join now to receive a membership that is valid for the full 2026 calendar year, ending December 31, 2026. Membership gives your family unlimited access to fun, hands-on and educational activities focusing on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Memberships are valid for the named adult(s) and are non-transferable. Photo ID is required to match our records at check-in. Guests of members may be unaccompanied but must have Guest Passes to enter. Member children are ages 2-17. Membership begins on the date of purchase and is valid for free general admission entry to the Lab for one full year from date of purchase. Membership fees may not be applied toward group visits, field trips, birthday parties, or special programs such as workshops, classes, or camps. However, Member discounts do apply.*ASTC reciprocal privileges can be used at museums that are greater than 90 miles from both your home and our Fair Oaks Mall Lab “as the crow flies“.
Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates the Children's Science Center Lab at Fair Oaks Mall and STEM programs traveling to schools and other community venues across the region. The Foundation is also developing the Northern Virginia Science Center in Dulles, VA, a world-class, interactive regional science center for families, students and learners of all ages made possible through a pivotal public-private partnership.
