The Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation believes in a community based on respect, trust, and collaboration. STEM is for everyone, and we are committed to opening the doors to STEM for all and ensuring that our spaces and programs are accessible and welcoming to everyone regardless of background, economic barriers, or personal circumstances. We work to empower our team members to welcome every member of our community into a world of creative STEM exploration by:
Learning and implementing best practices for broad community engagement
Identifying those absent from our space and programs and how to best reach them
Fostering a welcoming and reflective community within our organization
We seek to actively engage everyone through proactive outreach and creative collaboration. Our goal is to create with and learn with the community, recognizing that we are a part of an ecosystem much broader than one organization. We are excited to grow, change, connect, and create pathways to STEM for all.

Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates the Children's Science Center Lab at Fair Oaks Mall and STEM programs traveling to schools and other community venues across the region. The Foundation is also developing the Northern Virginia Science Center in Dulles, VA, a world-class, interactive regional science center for families, students and learners of all ages made possible through a pivotal public-private partnership.
