You can be a champion for STEM learning with your contribution to the STEM Starter Fund.
Each year the STEM Starter Fund provides scholarships to economically disadvantaged families, schools and community groups to experience the excitement of interactive STEM at the Childrenās Science Centerās Lab.
Your gift to the STEM Starter Fund will fund discounted or subsidized Lab admissions for disadvantaged school groups, after school program groups (preschools, elementary schools, special-needs), and at-risk or special needs adult groups. Partial transportation subsidies that otherwise would prevent many of the above-mentioned groups from visiting the Lab. The STEMĀ Starter Fund also partially subsidizes transportation when needed.
Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates the Children's Science Center Lab at Fair Oaks Mall and STEM programs traveling to schools and other community venues across the region. The Foundation is also developing the Northern Virginia Science Center in Dulles, VA, a world-class, interactive regional science center for families, students and learners of all ages made possible through a pivotal public-private partnership.
