Button Sun 2 Try the Egg Drop Challenge!
Get the whole family involved in constructing a contraption to protect an egg from breaking when dropped from a high height.  The materials are up to you but might include tape, cardboard, cotton, straws, string, paper and of course, eggs. Each person or team gets to create a contraption from the supplied materials.  Drop the contraptions from the same height and see if the eggs survive. If you have younger children, you might want to try this simpler version.
Button Sun 3 Measure the strength of an eggshell!
How strong is an eggshell?  After the egg drop challenge, you may have an opinion!  Try this eggshell strength experiment to test your hypothesis.  You may be amazed at how much an egg can hold!
Button Sun 4 Create a STEM-tastic Easter basket!
Easter baskets don’t have to be filled with candy! Try filling it with fun STEM-related activities that will keep your children busy with fun learning. Search your local dollar store for low cost kits and activities. Here are some ideas to look for: airplane kits (paper planes, wind-up planes, wooden planes and more!); plant kits (include small pot and seeds); grow-in-water toys; constructions toys; invisible ink; magnifying glass, science-related story books.
Button Sun 5 Decorate eggs naturally!
What happens when you dye eggs using natural ingredients like onions, cabbage and beets? Let nature decorate your eggs with beautiful results. Follow these easy directions for vibrantly colored eggs.
